Don’t be late to the games.As Los Angeles prepares for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the conversation is no longer if but how you position yourself.The European Business Association LA in partnership with Local Action Marketing LLC, was proud to co-host the LA Global Sport Activation × Culinary Reception.We gathered consulate leaders, city officials, athletes, media, and global brands to solve one challenge: How do international organizations successfully navigate, stand out, and thrive around LA’s global sporting events?

The Lineup.

We had a warm welcome from Jonathan Meyrowitz with UP.Labs, who kindly hosted us at their incredible venue at Santa Monica Airport, followed by @Peter James with the City of Santa Monica, shared it as an ideal location and partner for country houses and campaign activations.

We talked about Leveraging the Power of Sport with 4x Olympic Gold Medalist Lenny Krayzelburg, OLY and 24’ Paralympic Gold Medalist and LA28 Athletes’ Commission Member Samantha Bosco, PLY, moderated by CBS LA Sports Anchor and Emmy winner Jaime Maggio.

Then, we had a “Quick Start Guide to Navigating LA in 2028” panel by first defining your “Why,” choosing the right location, localizing communications and mitigating risk with valuable tips with insights from Veronica Besmer (legal), Ryan J. Bowling (marketing), and real-life examples from Latvia’s pursuit of LA through Amalia Ghukasyan, moderated by LAM LATAM affiliate Monica Sanchez Hernandez.

We finished off with a high-level culinary showcase from LA’s rising stars orchestrated by our LAM culinary liaison @Lawrence Moore, proving that food is the ultimate accelerator for community and diplomacy.
